THE HUE Story

The beginning of The HUE

The beginning of The HUE was the hobby of an office worker who worked for a major company in Korea. I was so into leather crafts that I could not feeling tired even if I slept only 2-3 hours a day. I went to work during the day and did leather crafts in the evening.

After that, I came to Canada and spent all my time with my family and leather crafts, experiencing and designing a variety of leathers, creating The HUE's own brand identity.

Minimalism with vivid color and design

I like simple designs. Minimalism usually reminds me of plain designs with achromatic colors such as black, gray, and white. I like 'simple' but I don't like 'boring'.

When it comes to the simpler design, the better work comes out when you ponder deeply. Also, I think minimalism doesn't necessarily mean you have to insist on achromatic colors.

The minimalism of The HUE is to make the user feel simple but cool, not the maker

The HUE's handmade goods are minimal, but the production process is not minimal.

Even if I make a sandal, I make the bottom part with 5 layers. Sandals with designs that can only be made by hand are beautiful to look at, but they give also excellent feeling to wear.

Handmade in nature of Canada

Canada's Mother Nature inspires The HUE’s design. Nature is great when you look at it from afar, but you can feel the true side when you get closer.

The HUE’s artisan is also working hard to provide greater satisfaction to customers who use them and experience the superior quality directly like Canada's nature.

So that you can feel the joy of leather crafting together.

I really enjoy leather crafting. In Vancouver, Canada, there are few workshops that offer classes even if you try to experience leather crafts.

Classes are much more difficult than making leather products and there are many things to prepare, but I will also have leather craft classes because I want to enjoy leather crafting with you. It's happier to have fun together!
